Young learners will practice their new skills with Italian and Spanish customers, and also learn how our European neighbours work and live.
The programme, valued at £250k, under the Erasmus+ European scheme, is free for young people. Successful applicants will receive vocational training* before spending time in Lanciano in Italy, and either Seville or La Coruna in Spain. Placements last either 22 or 60 days.
All expenses are covered: flights, accommodation, training and subsistence.
The programme is run by Newt Employment, in association with 1610 in Somerset, Integer Training in Cornwall, and Gecko Programmes in Warwickshire.
Amanda Charlton, the Training Manager with 1610 said, “this is a fantastic opportunity for our staff and learners to boost their job and enterprise skills. Last year, we sent 18, and we have already seen the difference this makes to confidence and abilities, with our people returning with great ideas and enthusiasm to make our training centres outstanding”
